As an experienced business and innovation manager, as well as qualified Australian legal practitioner, Pia offers a deep understanding of the processes involved in successful strategic collaborations and embedding innovation processes into organisations. Leveraging a wealth of practical business knowledge gained over 25 years in the private, public and not for profit sectors in Western Australia and New South Wales, Pia is an accomplished commercial advisor, facilitator and innovation broker. She is passionate about sharing her expertise as a consultant, mentor and public speaker on topics relating to innovation, commercialisation, collaboration and capacity building across and within enterprises.
As a mother of three daughters, Pia is also an advocate of supporting and enabling female entrepreneurs and business owners. In addition to currently delivering advisory and facilitation support services to SMEs under the Federal Government’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme, Pia holds a number of non-executive and voluntary positions, including as Secretary and Committee member of Women in Technology WA; Chair of the WiTWA Techtrails STEM School Incursion Program; WA Sub-Committee member of Springboard Enterprises Australia Accelerator Program; Committee member of Regional Development Australia Perth; and as Non-executive Director of the Australian Energy and Resources Growth Centre.
