Prior to starting edoCEO futures Daniela led the Industry and Innovation Division within the Western Australian State government. In this role she had strategic oversight of a broad spectrum of industry and economic development functions, including in the areas of Digital Economy, Innovation and Commercialisation, Marine and Defence, Oil and Gas Services and Local Industry Participation.
Some of the key initiatives she has overseen include:
Delivery of the Government’s obligations to secure the AUD2.4bn international Square Kilometre Array Project in Western Australia.
Coordination of the State government obligations in response to the deployment of the AUD46bn National Broadband Network in WA.
Secured AUD350m investment by Trident Subsea Communications in the Pilbara region of WA.
Delivery of common-use and strategic infrastructure including the State Technology Precincts and the Australian Marine Complex.
AUD 45m Regional Mobile Communications Project.
Concept design and project implementation of the Powerhouse City project.
Her extensive established network at senior level, across a wide range of industries, academia and at all levels of government is a sought after commodity, that provides access to decision makers and an insight into what is needed to succeed. She has significant experience in government relations through her roles on the WA Planning Commission Infrastructure Coordination Committee, the Asian Science Parks Association board and as a member of the Commonwealth States and Territories Advisory Committee on Innovation.
Daniela champions diversity in industry through her position on the board of Women in Technology Western Australia (WiTWA).
in addition she holds a range of executive committee and board positions, including with the WA IT and Telecommunications Alliance and NIT Australia.
Before moving to Perth she held senior roles in the South African Foreign Trade Organisation, as well as in the private sector, is fluent in 3 languages and has a strong track record in international trade and investment facilitation in Africa and the Middle East.
Daniela holds a Master’s degree in International Political Economics.
